IPL is one of the famous cricket leagues. This is a league where players from different countries play together as different teams, One IPL has players from different countries. Cricket is a game with 11 players, So the team batting will have 10 wickets while the team which opts to bowl will have 11 players on the field including bowler and wicket Keeper IPL was first started in 2008, Many players changed teams in 2008 to 2020 and some new teams were also introduced while some changed its names, This Dataset has a ball to ball deliveries from first IPL to Latest, Which can help to predict Many things.

To Start With us as a group came up with a few ideas to visualize like Who won the most matches in all seasons, Who’s the top scoring batsman and who is the top wicket-taker, Which bowler got more wickets of the particular batsman, Which way did particular batsmen get out many times, Which team performed best and worst against which team?, Which team won more toss è Which team reached the playoff’s ( Final stage of matches where some teams are eliminated and the rest compete for the cup) Most and least.

Data Source

Thanks to Kaggle we found the data set we needed for this project which we had to go through it's a collection of different datasets and each describes different data

1) Deliveries- This table describe details about what happened in each ball from first IPL season to present
2) Matches - Rows : 756 , Columns : 18,Descriptionn: this table contains description about Matches ,Which season the match is who won the toss what did they choose after winning the toss and who was the umpire for that match and some more details
3) Most_runs_average_Strikerate - Rows – 516,Columns - 6 ,Description – this is related to batsmen,Strikerate tells how well did a batsmen perform
4) Players è Rows - 566 , Columns- 5, Description This table discloses details about the players their description and the country which they belong
5) Team wise home and away - Rows: 14 , Columns 7,Description :in ipl each ipl team is named after a region for example Sunrisers Hyderabad is for Hyderabad, And if that particular team has played a match in its own region , then it’s called home else it’s called away It can be accessed here

How I started with my Intro Page.

I really loved doing this part of the project you can check the bottom of this page for the download link Slicer with seasons I added seasons in this slicer, IPL each year represents a season IPl is a cricket league organized every year, so the main introduction page I wanted to mention the winner of that particular season and a total number of matches in that particular season so I selected this slicer and two card Visualisations.

These are the Two card visualization I included along with the slicer for seasons the above Picture Ipl-2018 was selected and the winner for that season is Chennai super kings For the total number of matches slicer, I used the count function for matched where each matched represents a match in that particular season. I defined a measure for that and named in total matches For Winner Slicer, This one was a bit tricky as our dataset did not have any column for the winner in that season, So I decided to add a custom filter, after a lot of thought and discussions, I figured out that in each season, The last match is the final match and the winner for that would be The season winner for this I used the filter pane And I used Top 1 by latest date in the filter for this card visualizations, which gave me the final match winner for that particular season. I’ve been seeing videos for power bi in youtube and I found a cool video where he explained how to add Page navigation in power bi I unfortunately lost the link but this is a shout-out to him, Although it is mentioned that slicer doesn’t count as visual in the project1 description in canvas I decided to add it because I found it cool. This is how I added that è Firstly I added a table through Enter Data, and I added the exact column names as our pbix page names.,Then I added a slicer with that particular column name and did it as a dropdown list under the properties pane with some other customizations, I downloaded an image With says Go from google, and added it next to my slicer,

For that image under the format image pane I turned on the action and chose Page Navigation ,Then I chose a custom function for that as attached in the image below And My page navigation is done, users can pick any page and then CTRL + click on the go Image, Pbix is then redirected to that page.
